What is a ‘Snag List’?
A lot of defects in a newbuild property. Defects can be plaster work, doors, walls, kitchen etc. A snag list is a way of getting defects attended to by your builder.
What are the top 10 snag defects?

When should snags be done?
Snagging should be done once a builder/developer has finished construction and decoration. Ideally snagging would happen before completion. Not to worry if it doesn’t access can be gained after completion.
Do builders have to fix snags?
For 2 years after the completion date of your new home build, it is your housebuilder’s responsibility to fix any snags as long as you submit your snagging list within the warranty period.
How long does a survey take?
This will depend on the size of the property but on average, about three hours.
